The Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge is a beach side Lodge located near Labuan Bajo on the Island of Flores. With a new double story annex with four connecting family rooms with AC, hot water, spring beds with mosquito nets, there are now 16 double rooms. The beach is pleasant but not good for swimming or snorkeling and we take guests to nearby Bidadari island for these activities. The view out to the Komodo islands from the upstairs restaurant and bar is especially beautiful at sunset. Part of the grounds is set aside as a Coucal (pheasant-like bird) breeding area.
The Komodo National Park is the only area in the world where the Komodo dragons, up to three meters in length, are found. The park also contains some of the most bio diverse diving and snorkeling sites in the world. We can arrange tours to the park, diving trips, river safaris to view birds as well as local or trans Flores tours. (see our Tour ILT 01 or www.ecosafariindonesia.com) Komodo National Park is located in the Lesser Sunda Islands between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. The island of Komodo lies at a distance of 200 nautical miles to the east of Bali, and seven degrees below the equator.
All our other Eco Lodges have been recognized in their commitment to operating at a high environmental standard for tourism and were awarded Green Globe certification. See our Eco Certification
